PhilHealth suffers from Medusa ransomware, disrupting its online operations. Hackers are demanding US$300,000 (₱17 million) from the government in exchange of not disclosing sensitive information. 
PhilHealth says systems cleanup are ongoing, and they will not pay ransom so as not to support the group’s “criminal activities”.
